No, no... he is correct. We invented it, then SJ and Fnordia stole the blueprints.

I actually meant to say SY instead of SWE, but whatever the truth, whoever came up with it changed the way we play TA. Credit to them. Wish I had been around to do it.

i wish they never invented it personally... i think maybe it would be more fun having to think up your own build orders and strats etc, rather than having it spoonfed, the only things you need to learn to get good is: 1.watch loads of the tads 2. click really fast and accurately 3. buy a good pc with good connection 4. have some common sense oh and you cant really learn unit control from tads, i guess we still have that fun part left edit: but thinking about it, demo recorder has pretty much wiped out cheating, which makes it better to have than not

Hmm, true somehow, memorized build orders works on early game, but if u dont have any clue why u do what u do, it doesnt help you later on game...
Also making right decisions in rage of battle when u dont always have all information about situation is one thing u cant memorize, even if u have seen loads of tads. Sometimes delaying attack 30sec causes it fails and it changes outcome completly...
IRL Generals have too information about battles of past and they can still fail too ;D

Sure... I'll give it a go.
Top Clans of 2006 in order:
1. n1 2. FFAx 3. N 4. PRO 5. ACE 6. TEA 7. S 8. LD 9. COD
I think that's all the clans that had any kind of steady membership active during the year that I can think of. I guess PRO could almost get left out, because they weren't all that active. I'm basing my rating on some clan vs clan games, the Clan tournament, and the top handful of players in each clan during the time.
For 2007... Hard to say if any clan is particuarly active enough to do any kind of rating... boring, yes?

Wasn't 2006 the year where the ladder had it's prime? Basically all the good players played back then, list should be alot diffrent imo. And N is definately a better (skillwise) clan than FFAx. No doubt

You can learn to be a decent player from TADS, but not a great player. BLITZ might have been in the Top 10 clans in TA once, in the very early days. We were certainly top 5 on Mplayer in 1998 or so. ATU2, Repeli, Knurl and Labrat were all top tier. Plus, we were the best Metal Heck 10k 10k players.
