The map is GOW, aroudn say 15th min, the other guy sees theres little defence there and decides to commrush it, dgunnign defenders, adv kbot etc. After everything is dead the comm is at 50% health.
The opponent pissed atlases onto the isle and dguns the shit the comm just tried to build and lasers away both at each other.
So eventually we have this situation Comm A at 20% Comm B at 50% health
Comm A ceases the moment and sends over a roach bomb to kill comm B, and succeeds, but it kill's him too..
Boom, both dead, it wasn;t a comm bomb, a comm dgun and neither comm died first.
Who's deemed the winner? A little artistic.. just to show this could actually happen =P

the guy who roaches wins, the situation isn't that wierd at all really, it works just the same as with any other attack unit. It's just the roach doesn't shoot anything so you think it's different, but it's not.
You win by killing the commander by any means other than D-Gun, regardless of where your commander is, pretty simple really.

However ir was the roach that killed his com.. not the death explosion.
So in your sence.. If you could self d, and after you died, a nuke that you launch at their comm kills their comm after you die, you will take the win.
An extreme example, yes, but the above 'essay' puts it into a more plausible situation

Basic rule: whoevers comm dies first loses (dying from the explosion of enemy comm means technically you would die after him, just), and obviously dgunning a commander is a loss, EVEN if the enemy purposely moves infront it, and it isn't your intention to dgun the comm. There was recently some confusion over this.
you have found an exception to that rule, in that both comms die simulteanously, so IMO the rule for this situation should be: whoever is responsible for the kill, wins.

well what if you dgun at a commander and it scrapes him to half health, its not going to kill the enemy comm, so do you still get a loss?

whoever dies first loses. So for woody's situation...unless you roached your own commander, Player A wins even if his com goes after Player Bs. As for vapors question. No its not a loss, the dgun did not result in a game ending situation. Interesting question tho as with elevation i've seen dgun not kill other coms...i guess if you can master that technique you could weaken coms and then laser them to death for the win.

Agree, he deserves a 100% win ratio if he mastered that. As each direct blob does 30k damage, enouh for 1 krog, and there are FIFTEEN of em, it needs to be pixel-perfect

you can nick shit, you ever dgun a unit and you think you scratched it and you're like wtf it didn't die? well it got hurt badly, same thing for comms, its happened to me before.
its not hard just shoot to the side and it'll probably get them to yellow.

actually the only time i don't kill a unit with a dgun is when it's a sub. usually when stuff is only just hit, doesn't it get a huge health bar? i've seen that quite a lot of times...

that health bar has happened to me a few times, happened to a flash tank i had, it raped most of the base before it died
It would be a bit fucked up if a krog got that health bug
