Thank god we have super TA god xperts to belittle the average guys play......I've been stinkin up the TA community for 9 years now, played countless games, won, lost, but, I allways enjoyed the game. The only good thing I've seen lately, is the super godlike players just lock themselves in a room and play with themselves...thats ok. U guys can have all the kudos, I'll continue to play with lots of guys who really dont care how good you've become.

Jay had a point, games that weren't super elite expert play should be egible for tadrs as well, and as far as I know they are (considering the amount of low scores given to lots of tads). Critising & giving tips ext... is ok as well, which happens a lot. Brag games however are always pointless. I haven't seen Jay's demo's, so I don't know what kind it is (I don't think the reviewer was giving real honest grades ) but if it's brag he's right, keep it away from tadrs. If it isn't brag then Jay's right, and we shouldn't bitch so much (review was really funny though!)

You forgot to add:
1. It's just a game
2. Get a life
and
3. Some play to actually have fun!
The average-guy-attacking-ekspurts-flame, just isn't the same without those three.

TADRS don't care if you had fun playing the game. We care if our viewers are going to have fun watching the game.
Watching average players d-gun each other and mess around isn't entertaining. We've seen that sort of thing a million times.
My definition of an entertaining demo is one where both players are closely matched and it's difficult to predict an outcome. They don't have to be experts but it certainly helps to make watching more fun.

I guess we all want different things from TADs.

Well, if you disagree with the reviews you can always post in the feedback topics (or create one if we forgot). TBH, most of the reviews nowadays are only getting 100 views or something piffling like that. If we had thousands of viewers, and the typical feedback topic didn't have 0 replies, then people might be more inclined to take more time writing long reviews with more detail.
You could always apply to be a reviewer as well. It's very easy to get on the team.
Myself, I don't upload demos because I'm not particularly good. I'm alot better than average but I'm nowhere in the same league as the top tier players. Any stuff I'd upload would probably bore you. I did upload one that I thought was kind of fun (an unusual map) but I don't know, must have got misplaced somewhere.
As far as harsh reviews go I think their necessary. TAMEC became and absolute joke because they refused to give out bad ratings. It said they rated out of 10 but they really rated between 7 and 10. 7 meant the map was downright unplayable.
If you start giving average games a 7 then your not using the scale properly. In my book 5 is an average demo. 7 is good. 8 is very good. 9 is incredible. 10 is godly.

TADs suck
TADs rob players of there TA puberty, where they develop tactics and skill there self, instead of seeing sum1 else do it

Before the TA Demo Recorder existed people learnt the game in much the same way. You'd just find someone really good and you'd lose over, and over, and over. Each time you'd see a little more of how your opponent did it and you'd try to incorporate that into your game.
I like the fact peoples strategies are more transparent now. It forces people to keep changing and innovating. And average player can watch demos to get a better understanding of how the game works, but it takes tons of practice to be skillful.

No1 gets good by just watching tads, thats fact. It helps if u can adapt what u see in your own gameplay, but ppls who call someones "tad whores" doesnt understand shit about getting good
